A lovely and elegant pair of cultured pearl earrings set in 14k white gold. The Fittings are screw back which will suit pierced or un-pierced ears. Romantic jewels that will make lovely bridal earrings. Circa 1950.

Pearls were first cultured in 1893 by Mikimoto. Cultured pearls are created by adding an irritant, such as a grain of sand or small bead, to a pearl oyster to encourage it to cover the irritant in nacre, thus creating a pearl.

Details.....The earrings measure .60" long, and the pearls are 8.1mm and 6.8mm in diameter. In Very Good Vintage condition. You should expect all vintage and antique jewels to show some wear; we consider it part of their charm.
